I only gotten into the series this year. What's most liked from the above 6? Seems like they are all hated.

Looking at this poll makes me realize how badly this franchise has been driven into the ground

You have 3 great movies and then everything else that even approaches being good is still horribly marred by numerous flaws. RotS is the best answer here but it's far from perfect.

and a good movie to boot despite a few flaws. TPM had such potential and certain parts of it hold up so well imo e.g. Duel of the Fates.. but AOTC is a fucking disaster.

TFA.. meh. wasn't bad.

haven't seen TLJ yet.

The Force Awakens.

RotS has its moments but its a lot more cringe-inducing than people remember.

I feel that TFA and TLJ are way better than any movie from the PT, but that RotS is better than Rogue One.

RotS, but really it's only because of its main plotline which made it destined to be above the other prequels.

Granted, that movie did have some pretty bad spice with the awesome main course. But still, best out of all of those because let's face it, the others' storylines don't come even close to RotS's main premise.

"best" is kinda... eh
My personal ranking is

R1
TLJ
ROTS
FA
PM
AOTC
N/A
Episode 2 is easily the best of this bunch. It should have more votes.

Its disappointing how bad phantom menace was. You had Qui-Gon, young Obi-Wan, and the best Sith ever, yet the rest of the movie just tanked.

On topic, Revenge of the sith is the best since 99

Don't worry about the Internet.

I'm trying my hardest and the only thing I can think of that the Internet doesn't hate is bacon.

Yup. Padme is disaster. And Anakin's turn really didn't play well because the script couldn't convey the passage of time that apparently took place between episodes 2 and 3.

This. Ffs this was a pioneering movie series that did innovate things in science fiction like Alien (another franchised being chocked like a chicken) into a laughing stock of a movie series.

All that aside, I was quite surprised how well Rouge One was. I think Star Wars, like Alien and Star Trek even, has better potential moving away from the legacy characters that started the franchies and move on to just telling good stories.

Either Revenge of the Sith or Rogue One.
3 had a decent story but everything else was bad. Acting was bad. Directing was bad. Dialog was bad.

Still, even having a decent story puts it above 1 and 2, which had bad story, bad acting, bad directing, bad dialog, bad everything.

Let's not pretend that the original trilogy wasn't horribly cringe-inducing as well. I mean, have you seen A New Hope recently?

The only cringy moments in ANH are Han Solo's dialog, which play up the cringe on purpose for comedy. People remember Han as his episode 5 and 6 character but forget that in 4 he was meant to have no real skills but uncannily good luck and a habit for playing dirty, which he mistakes for competence and uses to fuel overconfidence.

Acting was mostly not good but McGregor and McDiarmid killed it almost the whole way through. McGregor really only stumbled on the "killing younglings" bit which was just not possible for any actor to salvage.

I actually liked TLJ the most out of these movies, but might be because that one's in most recent memory. RotS has a cool story but at this point the best thing from that movie are the memes it spawned.

To all of your cringe grievances in the OT, lest you forget:

If youre not with me, then youre my enemy!

Only a Sith deals in absolutes.

From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!

Anakin... youre breaking my heart.

Youre so beautiful.
Only because Im so in love.
No, its because Im so in love with you.
So love has blinded you?

Noooooooooo!

And thats just off the top of my head.

TFA by a mile imo. Haven't seen Rogue One, but the prequels are all bad movies imo and I didn't like TLJ
Kinda surprised that Rogue One isn't winning, considering the ginormous hard-on people have for the movie and sing praises about it whenever it's mentioned.
The Force Awakens is my favorite altogether so far.
