People got very accustomed to the internet they have now. It's now outside the realm of probability that if things really start to suck that net neutrality risks becoming a major issue in 2020
But then again it's also possible that all traffic to pro net-neutrality sites will be throttled or blocked, so it will be hard to really organize anything

Basically the self-defeating hicks of America won't notice until they can't watch their tractor racing videos anymore. Then they'll blame all this on liberals and illegal immigrants and double down on their orange savior.

Imagine leading up to elections.
What's to prevent verizon and the other giants to throttle traffic to the websites of democratic candidates, and basically, influence the elections?
The implications are really not good for democracy. But it doesn't look like many people give a shit, TBH.
