That's actually BS because any college degree would have landed you a good job a few decades ago. But the job market is completely different now, i.e. much worse and more competitive for workers.
Lol this. I have engineering friends who are underpaid or went back to school to get the next degree up because they couldn't get a job with their bachelor's/master's.
But assuming poor people got to college anyway... not that hard to afford if you were actually in poverty or if you're an illegal alien in my state (yes that's correct).
People start poor for a variety of reasons. What keeps them poor is usually stupid as fuck decisions like a $6 a day habit on cigarettes when they make minimum wage and having kids too early when they can't afford them.
