They're protesting black people being killed by police. Either way, it solves nothing, after all how many people did hashtagbringbackourgirls save? protesting is nothing but a way for citizens to feel like they're doing something and getting good boy points doing it without having to expend any real effort.

Why do people keep using this dumb reasoning?
Considering how much awareness it's been raising, ain't gonna call it nothing

Raising awareness doesn't translate into police being held accountable. It's a "feel-good" protest, nothing more.

Maybe they'll stop if you can name one other country that allows people from the ghetto to go to college for free regardless of academic ability, then go on to become a multi-millionaire fresh out of college just by playing a game 22 times a year AT MOST.

Are you shitting on good ol' American capitalism here? Colleges make good money from their top sports. They get the best players they can find to play for them so their team will win and have more support. The good players then get signed to professional teams so they can do the same. Those players then spend their money and it funds whatever businesses they buy from.

How was I shitting on anything? I pointed out that rich football players protesting 'police brutality' by saying America mistreats them is laughable considering they literally only have the job they have because they live in America.

Yes, even if I didn't actually want to protest I'd do it to piss off all the conservative ass-cranks.
It's a dumb protest. I prefer to protest specific policies, politicians, and so forth. Protesting the anthem/flag is too close to me to protesting America as an idea.
Why is it so important whether someone sits or stands?
Why is it so important whether someone sits or stands?
What makes someone uneducated or ignorant if they choose to do a specific action while the National Anthem is played?

Yeah most people do. That's why they ask you if you are a citizen or permanent resident on the applications. They have their job because they showed enough athletic talent to be signed to a professional team.
I wouldn't have until Trump opened his idiot mouth about it. Now I would kneel to protest his attacks against free speech.

Smh
That talent wouldn't get them a paycheck in any other country.
