When she was asked how she could help low income residents, seh said "I don't think we should encourage more lower income people to come to Charlotte. We should attract higher income people"
She also opposed legislation to protect discrimination against the LGBT as shes opposed transgender people being allowed to use restrooms based on their preferred gender because it would SCARE CHILDREN.
She said "I'm not prejudice, i do not judge other people. Other people judge me. What is the difference? I say i'm white. Others describe themselves s example transgenders. Are they labeling themselves? I'm also a divorced mother with 2 adult children, i accept others as who they are. I have traditional conservative views when it comes to family and friendships. Being gay is immoral to me and i can't help that"
