Shooter and RPG are about even. I alternate. Right now I'm on a Skyrim kick. The 4k on the pro with some weather enhancing mods has got me riled up to play it again
strategy, the more strategic the more I like it. civ 6 and HOI IV are pretty much the only games ive played this year. last year was all about CK2. I have Europa IV but haven't gotten into it yet.
I play too many genres frequently. No idea which one I've actually played the most. It would be between RTS, RPG, MOBA, Platform, FPS, Action-Adventure, and Fighting. I play everything.
glitteringfairy: Just build the damn wall
ThyCorndog: and how exactly will that stop the mexican space program from orbital dropping illegal immigrants?
RPGs, they probably make up about 30% of the games I've played. Wouldn't say that the genere's necessarily better than others, though. It's just I'm usually more tempted to try RPGs compared to other games, because not only are the game mechanics talked up, but so are the writing, characters, ect.
RPG > Action/Adventure > Shooter > Platformer (and Stealth games for something not on the list)
I tend to play a lot of games that combine those genres too, particularly Role-playing Shooters (e.g. System Shock series, Deus Ex series and modern Fallout games). A lot of Metroidvanias are pretty much Action/Adventure + Platformer too (and sometimes + Shooter as well, especially if sidescrolling shooters count).
I voted RPG but I play a lot of Zelda and Fire Emblem too. Also a fair amount of Platformers.
Really dislike shooters, especially first person. Metal Gear Solid 1~3 were good though.
