Complete totality is only about a half hour's drive away, but I'm getting increasingly worried that it's going to be cloudy

In the UK so won't be able to see it in person (or any until 2090 lol) but I'll be enjoying the view from geostationary orbit via the sexy new GOES-16 satellite.

No. I live in the band of totality and they're predicting thousands of mouth-breathers coming into town to watch the 2 minute ordeal. Traffic gonna be whack.

Not sure but I think it would still be pretty cool even if it is cloudy. I think the cloud combined with totality would make in incredibly dark in the middle of the day.
