Yeah. All of it was deserved. Only happened a handful of times though as when you get older it doesn't work anymore.
Yeah spanked on the bottom. Deserved all of it. Glad my dad disciplined me while I was growing up. He was always fair about it.

I just don't think "might is right" is a good philosophy to live by, especially as a little kid. I don't think spanking is evil, it's just that to me an adult can't get a kid to shut up, so they cause them physical pain? It's so immature to me
My girlfriend is a 1st grade teacher for underprivelaged kids. She doesn't spank them, she emotionally manipulates them to want to be good

I agree. Don't understand why people think "only when I was little and only in a very specific way" makes it better.
1) Why are small children the ones who learn through violence?
2) If it should only be done to a certain age of child in very extreme circumstances in a specific way after you explain to them what they did wrong, then why do it at all?

Was spanking the only way you were disciplined? How can you be sure spanking actually played a role in teaching you anything? Doctors don't seem to believe there is any connection. Could you not just be seeing what you want to see because you love your parents and don't want to admit they could make mistakes?
