Sweaty nerds hate on Jennifer Lawrence because they finally saw her naked and realized there wasn't anything super magical underneath her clothes and she was your average woman. I also think she speaks out on women's body image/positivity and that's a big no no for sweaty nerds as well.

Most of her movies suck I have no idea why, she's not even the best part in her movies except hunger games. You got American hustle, x men, passengers, silver linings playbook



She was also in some duds, like Serena, house at the end of the street, passengers and her xmen role is annoying and I'm glad it looks like Sophie Turner is taking over

Yeah I think it's fair.

She's gotta be like top 2 as far as bankable actresses go. Someone mentioned Scarlett, but all of her top grossing films she's not a primary character or focus. Although I would have to do some actual research to verify any of that. She's also a very good actress. And she's young and beautiful.

Those 3 reasons in conjunction are really what put her where she is. I can't think of any other actresses that fill out all three of those criteria as well as she does.

The reason that she's the most bankable is that she carried through the Hunger Games series as a lead. I can't think of another actress her age that has done something on that level. You could argue that Hunger Games would be successful regardless but I doubt Hollywood execs think this.

This is also why Robert Downey Jr is worth a shitload. He carried Iron Man to a huge successful IP.
