Yeah that's exactly how I felt. Since the on stage parts were like tidbits of his stand up I liked them. But a lot of the skits were just...I dunno, weak.

Norm out of the choices, but Ron White is still my all-time favorite. Honorable mentions to Jerry Seinfeld, Daniel Tosh, Carlos Mencia, and (I know I'm gonna get a lot of shit for this one) Jeff Dunham.

To clarify after re-reading the post again: Norm and Tosh are at the top of my list among currently popular comedians.

And just because you said "is" doesn't mean they can't be dead. George Carlin is still my personal favorite comedian. Nobody alive that I have seen is as funny to me as George Carlin was. So my favorite comedian IS George Carlin. Just because he's dead does not mean he is no longer my favorite. Robin Williams being a very close second.
