$1 Billion: Untaxable, directly deposited to a bank account of your choosing.

Magic Island: About the size of the Castaway Island with your dream home built on it. No one will ever find it and you can teleport to it at will. When you are on the island you have unlimited wifi and all the furnishings/appliances/electronics you desire. Your Fridge never runs out of whatever food (or beverage) you want and if you don't feel like cooking, you can magically pull whatever premade dish out of the oven. Time in the real world stands still while you're on the island and you can toggle this feature on/off. Of course electricity is unlimited. You are also immortal while on the island. You can teleport any object to the island if you want. You can only teleport one person at a time though. Whenever you teleport to the island, any illness you had in the real world is cured. This does not work on your guest. You cannot teleport anything originally on the island to the real world, but anything you take to the island can be brought back.

If the island has some hot girls, it would be perfect. Would still pick Island though. $1 billion can't even compare..

I'll take the money. I'm not spending paradise with just one person... I care about a lot of people.

Plus with a billion dollars. I can make most of my family set for life. That means a lot more to me.

It does not.
Edit: They will not age if time is standing still in the real world though. So technically yes and no.

What's the rationale for the magic island scenario? The only thing that truly sticks out to me is the "no sickness while on island" and maybe time standing still. Everything else seems easily attainable with millions of dollars, let alone one billion.

Without even investing you could spend $1.4 million dollars every month for the next 60 years. With that money you can pretty much create your own paradise in the real world.

The island. If all my illnesses gets cured then it means my mental health issues should be cured as well. I have everything i want in there. Tbh i wouldn't ever leave. I would spend eternity in there.

Yeah, this is stupid. The island basically granting immortality trumps everything else. You can still leave the island to visit others when you get lonely (and to them, no time has passed).

I would. My current life is horrible, and what little good i have, my ocd ruins. I already live in isolation with no friends. If for some weird reason i would want to exit the island, i could. I have lived in this shit style life doing nothing for almost three years. If i could be able to enjoy things, having every single video game console and games, movies realistic robots for sex, having near matrix level virtual reality machine, any food i ever want etc. I would really have zero interest to ever leave that place.

Island. Putting 1 billion into circulation doesn't mean the world suddenly gets more of its depleting resources. The island will actually give you infinite resources.
