LA and Chicago are worse than NYC by a large mile. Vegas drivers scare the fuck out of me as a pedestrian walking the strip. But the flow of traffic didn't seem that bad.
My wife (a native Californian) tells me that LA traffic is the worst, so I'll go with that. At least you can walk just about everywhere in NY if the traffic is truly shit, or take the subway for that matter.

Does LA not have a subway? I sound dumb but I live on the east coast... I assumed all metro cities have a subway line

LA has earthquakes all the time and some people there live in fear of a big earthquake hitting them someday so it makes sense that they wouldn't have a subway.
i have lived in california for 25 years and have never felt an earthquake.

i have lived in california for 25 years and have never felt an earthquake. no one is scared of earthquakes, damaging ones happen once every century and even then our architecture is far more modern than anywhere else in the world (especially with dealing with earthquakes)
the things we are actually afraid of are
1. droughts
2. fires

Well that settles it - LA has cured earthquakes!

i dont live in LA, i live in the bay area which has far more frequent earthquakes than LA. they are all tiny and harmless though, unlike your misinformation on earthquakes in general

New York is worse. LA has more cars but they deal with it more efficiently. New York is a mess.
My pint was just that you guys have a lot of earthquakes. It would be dangerous to have a subway system in an area that constantly had earthquakes because a bigger one could happen at any time and it could hurt a lot of people if they were underground

The last time I went to LA, I was sitting in traffic on the highway for 4 hours to get somewhere that should've only been a half hour drive.
LA and it's made even worse by the fact that the city is spread out over a huge distance.
Worst American city I've ever visited.

Has anyone here been to Moscow? I heard they're the worst by FAR. Having been to LA, I find that hard to believe. Apparently it's not uncommon to sit in bumper to bumper traffic on the highway upwards to 4 hours there

India is worse if we're going international.

LA is such a fucking awful city.
Boston is worse than NYC, but LA is the worst.
the 405 during rush hour is the worst
literally takes an hour to go 3 miles
