No, I can understand how difficult it can be when parody usurps reality. I'm sure the Onion is having similar difficulties, though unfortunately they don't have quite the wiggle room Matt and Trey do.

Matt and Trey have always had this rebellious thing about them. Now I guess they're rebelling by not doing anymore Trump shit. Which is fine, they did plenty of it already. Trump comedy is a saturated market, if they would rather do other stuff I'd rather them do what their heart is in.

This, and there is nothing wrong with trying to take comedy into a different direction. It makes more sense to do that, especially if they are doing seasons with one large plot now, and they can focus on a specific topic enough to refine some of their ideas. It's not really an issue of cowardice at all, but some people will probably think so.

It's their show. As a trump supporter, I'm actually shocked that they're not going to make fun of him, but think about this:

Animating trump would be the thing to do. South Park has always been known for using current events and this would undoubtedly trigger people. Now, they have triggered the other half by not doing so.

I got stick of truth used, but the game was way too expensive for how short it was.
