17 y/o Victoria "Tori" La Rocca died after she disregarded a warning sign and PLUMMETED more than 150 feet to her death from the top of a cliff while hiking with friends in San Francisco!!

Fire Dept Spokesman Jonathan Baxter said that she lost her footing on a vertiginous ocean cliff at San Francisco's Lands End area and landed on the rocks below..

She was a student at St. Ignatius College Prep School as the high school junior and 2 friends parked their car along El Camino Del Mark at 630pm last Thursday and walked down to a fence that had a sign indicating "DANGER AREA CLOSED"

But instead of turning back, all 3 teens ignored the warning and climbed over the barrier and made their way tot het op of the Painted Rocks cliffs...it was there that Tori slipped and fell and landed on a large rock..

They found her lying on the rock about 6ft from the edge of the water suffering massive trauma and fractures to her head and body

A jet ski had to be dispatched to retrieve her by the water where she was still barely breathing but succumbed to her injuries while on the way to the hospital..

She's described as a diligent student and accomplished athlete who was a graduate of St. Hilary School and completed her 3rd year at St. Ignatius College Prep.

She had an older brother and 2 sisters and 2 stepbrothers..

What amazes me is she survived the fall. 150 feet how many stories is that.

Me and other people from my high school got to go stay at a Disney World hotel for BPA Nationals a couple months ago. Someone in our group slid down the slide headfirst which a sign forbade and nearly cracked his head on the end of the slide

he was fine though so it was pretty funny

If only there was someone or something that could've warned her from the possible danger of going there.
Oh wait...

It's tragic that she died as she didn't deserve that and I can't imagine how her family feels about this.
But she's solely responsible for this.
