This 21 y/o Kid Killed Himself after he was PUNISHED for saying GAYS should DIE!

A 21 y/o University of Texas Student who committed suicide after he was accused of using a homophobic slur/threat against a classmate is being blamed on the SCHOOL according to his father!!

Thomas Klocke was banned from classes in May 2016 after a classmate flirted with him with "bare, unsupported harassmenet allegations" according to the federal civil suit filed.

When he was banned from classes, almost a month later, Thomas kileld himself at Grapevine Silver Lake Marina Park, 30 miles from the campus..

His father, Wayne is now suing the school claiming his son was subjected to harsh, unjust punishment, over claims that were never "substantiated" and that led to his son's suicide.

Attorney Kenneth Chaiken said "This case serves to highlight just how potentially devastating the consequences are when a student is denied fair process". He argued the university didn't follow Title IX procedures but the University said it was never triggered sicne it was not sexual in nature.

It began on May 19, 2016 when a fellow management student, Thomas Watson, who is gay, claimed Thomas called him the F word and wrote on his computer "Gays should die"

Watson then told the dean of students and vice president student of affairs in an email that Klocke typed "Gays should die" on his laptop for him to see. When Watson told him he was Gay, Klocke then feigned a yawn and said "you're a f-word"

Watson felt terribly scared and uncomfortable after Klocke told him that he should consider KILLING HIMSELF!!

The dean of students advised him to file a complaint and send it to her...

Klocke denied the allegations but did say Watson was flirting with him and he acted out. Klocke claimed Watson sat down next to him and told him he was "Beautiful" but said that he typed "I'm straight" on his laptop instead and when Watson said he was gay, Klocke only responded with "stop" but that Watson kept "glancing" at him and he eventually moved to another seat.

The associate director for academic integrity interviewed both men and a student nearby. Klocke later got a letter stating he violated the university's policy against harassment and was placed on probation for the rest of his time. Klocke could have appealed the decision but he had killed himself before the deadline.

The suit claims that the school administators "have a vested interest in enacting swift and harsh punishment (especially upon males) who are merely accused of sexual harassment, sexual violence or aggressive behaviour, in order to preserve the appearance of their leadership"

Klocke needed that course to graduate and planned to attend graduate school the next year

The university said it followed its policies and procedures as they will not comment further

Allegedly said some shit. Gay guy claims he said homophobic shit, other guy claims the gay guy kept flirting with him after he told him to stop and then lashed out. Nothing more than he said/he said. Not sure how the school was able to substantiate the claims in the complaint from Watson considering it was just supposedly typed on a computer.

Like leverage said, there has to be more at play here than just this incident.

Based on all the past cases like this I have heard,vi am willing to give the dead guy's benefit of a doubt over the school... Schools tend to be pretty unfair and not even follow proper court procedure in these situations. And countless times it has turned out the accused was innocent
