Ron Howard has emerged as the name to replace Phil Lord and Christopher Miller to direct the Han Solo Star Wars spinoff film after the directing duo dropped out due to creative differences.

Phil and Chris who has been riding high with hit movies such as 21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Lego Movie surprised the hollywood when they dropped out as Disney confirmed the news.

Ron Howard however is a more "established" director but has a mixed reaction to his history of movies as his latest outing, Inferno was a box office bust domestically.

Do you trust Ron Howard in taking over? let's see if people do

I don't trust anyone to make this a good movie.

that's because u havent read any of the books.


if you did you'd have the sense to know that Dark Tower isnt supposed to be a fantasy sci fi gunfighting thriller. but i guess the average joe doesnt mind turning his brain off for another run of the mill popcorn action flick

I've read the series, and I love it.

the movie is a continuation of the series, btw, and I wanna see how that's handled.

and besides, a lot of the action stuff could be for the sake of the trailer, and the tone could be something entirely different.

Firing directors in the middle of shooting is a terrible sign. There will never be any Han Solo that isn't Harrison Ford anyway, I hope this bombs.
