My family has had 3 pugs so far, and 2 currently. They're not really any harder to take care of than any other dog. Might need to clean out their wrinkles every so often.

Aren't rottweilers known for being aggressive and hurting people and stuff. i'd go with a pug out of those two.
I heard they are prone to eye problems

I just looked them up and I mistook them for pit bulls. Rottweilers seem OK.
Can you explain why ?
For a pug, all I know is that you need two of them atleast to keep each other company. But if you are at home alot, you probably don't need to do that, since you can stay with them. But if you are at work for a long time, then a second dog is needed if you don't want your pupper to be depressed. So i've read.

Pitties get a bad rep from people who make them mean. They can be just as sweet and gentle as any other dog with the right care and treatment, just like any dog can become a mean bastard with poor treatment.

We've always had at least 2 dogs, so I can't comment on this.

Are you a pug owner? I'm not, I just know of a person who is and have read about how they get lonely. And the person I know has only one and seems be a little sad now.

I am, but my family has always had 2 dogs at a time, so I can't comment on whether they get lonely or not.

Ours haven't had any, besides the cataracts that come naturally with old age.

Are they energetic 24/7?
Wait. So it's a myth? I heard they are always hyper
Really though, Pugs slobber and snot and sneeze and lick 24/7, it's disgusting
what made you decide between a pug and a rottweiler?
they're like two completely different ends of the spectrum
and if you're renting your home, the latter might not even be legal in your area, or might come with extra taxes or fees or something like that
do more research and don't choose dogs just based off of their looks
How do you go to school, work two jobs, and are at home "a good amount of times" wtf ever that means.
If you're not at home and awake/available for at least 6-8 hours a day, you don't need a dog, it's a recipe for disaster.
I actually quit my last job because it kept me away from home so much. I expressed my concerns and their response was "get rid of the dog then". Yah fuck you I quit lol
Pugs are small & fugly.
Rotties are just fucking mean.
Get the rottie.
