Practicing responsible and safe sex?You know nothing about women's bodies, so shut up.
Mutilating your body to get at the Govt?
God I wish I could get mine out, but I can't afford it. I really hate being afraid all the time. There's a serial rapist in my area right now and it's a fucking nightmare to live in terror that someone's going to break into your house and destroy your life. I'm in one of the "no abortions ever for any reason" areas so if the worst case scenario happens, fml.Jesus. Where do you live? That place sounds terrible

Provided the fact that their account was made in 2001 and if they are actually a woman, they probably already went through menopause thoughYou think that menopause happens around mid-30s? Odd. Also, judging by your perspective on what constitutes "mutilating your body", you'll be shocked to hear how pregnancy and childbirth can operate.

Congratulations!Yes, I'm happy for you, Jen!

don't bother responding to the troll, they've already been taken care of
Kind of crazy how they attack it at every level, all the way down to sex education. My cousin thinks that they want unwanted high birth rates because that's the only way to sustain our economy without immigration.
Hysterectomies are extremely common surgeries to get for various reasons. It is not "mutilation."As with every type of surgery, whether or not it is considered "mutilation" depends entirely on context. The medical definition of mutilation is the unnecessary removal or altering of a body part.
she just said tubes guys, no need to go for the entire uterus for contraceptive purposesTell that to my mother, who had child #5 despite having her tubes tied.
As with every type of surgery, whether or not it is considered "mutilation" depends entirely on context. The medical definition of mutilation is the unnecessary removal or altering of a body part. This is an obvious consent issue
As just one example, the hysterectomies inflicted on the intellectually impaired or those with mental conditions in the early 20th century were very much mutilation by today's standards.
You figuring that with Trump back in charge you can't be certain you'll be able to keep using an IUD?
yeah, that'll show em lmao
Gonna be interesting times 22 years from now.

Yes
Makes sense. Hopefully it doesn't actually end up becoming necessary, but better to prepare while you still can.
Is someone forcing you to have kids? That's terrible.
Your state government is forcing you to have sex? That's terrible.Have you had sex?
Today? Yes, of course - thankfully nobody forced me.Do you enjoy sex and consider the possibility of pregnancy? Having control over such things is a rather important freedom in my books. If you want to have a sexless life, or a life where you get sex but also have to pump out kids - ok that can be your freedom. Safe sex is effective, but definitely in the 99% region. I don't want to let politicians decide that 1% of times.
I certainly do enjoy it, but being that I am menopausal, and on birth control, I'm not really concerned about the possibility of pregnancy. You're menopausal but you'd carry a pregnancy?
If I did have an unexpected pregnancy I would definitely hope to carry it to term again, and I've always known that pregnancy is a possibility when you have sex because I took sex ed in elementary school.
Certainly not only for procreation, but procreation is certainly always a possibility. Having sex without the intent to get pregnant does not eliminate the possibility of becoming pregnant on its own. Did you not know that? Because I have known that since I was pretty young...
