I've had Amber Alerts disabled for years

The last time went off, I had my phone under my pillow and on (we were filming night shoots and while I wasn't :working", I'm usually on call to a certain degree).

Shit went off at it's typical max volume. I jolted out of bed at 3:40AM because, fuck I don't know, I thought a nuke warning was going off and was getting an alert or something. I just started running out of my room and down the hall, not even really awake. I hurt my leg pretty badly, pulled a muscle that took weeks to work out. Couldn't go back to sleep and had to work a 12 hour day.

After that, I said fuck it, I'm turning this off. Come at me. I ain't doing the below (and yes, I know Amber Alerts actually help and work):

I turned all alarms off on my phone.

I had to google to figure out where to go, but I'm pretty sure you can turn off everything except maybe the presidential one?

I am Canadian, as far as I know there isn't any way to turn them off.

This, that's the only one that can't be disabled. But I guess different counties may have different requirements.

I assume most amber alerts are for parental disputes, but I could be wrong.

Same. Got tired of the random alarms i did not ask for. The fact that most of them were located in places over 2 hours away or places i had never even heard of didnt help either.
