I always liked homing missiles, but my favourite are homing volley missiles - when you shoot like 4~8 of them off at angles and then they all converge on the target

Examples include your special shot in Ikaruga and... uhhhh, I know there's more, but I just got up

For a general weapon class itd be fantasy scythes.

Punishment from FF VIII and the player/Remnant version of Void Gear are the first 2 specific weapons that come to mind for the question though.
