Haven't done a full playthrough in a while and decided to do one before Rebirth drops, and damn...

Remake is a amazing game. I can't believe how many things they got right in this game, especially coming after FF15 and KH3.

Every time I play, it feels like a miracle. Nearly everything is excellent, from combat, to materia leveling, to character to character interactions, music, aesthetics.

It's all so good, and Rebirth looks like it's gonna be better in every way.

Yeah Im planning to do this before Rebirth. I played through it 2 years ago when I got my PS5 and really enjoyed it.

Maybe not a full playthrough, but I definitely need to get through the rest of the Yuffie DLC. Only at like Chapter 2 or something.

I feel it's somehow the most boring and most exciting game I've played, like everytime I got to a point where I wanted to uninstall the game hits a high point that makes me love it again like a toxic ex.

I really hope Rebirth has less padding.
I've been meaning to play the Yuffie DLC before Rebirth releases

Agreed!
Delicious and vicious, while maliciously nutritious.

I mostly agree with this. Never got close to uninstalling it myself, however, they definitely struggled to stretch the 3-4 hour Midgar segment into a full 45-hour game. The entire chapter where you're basically just messing with solar panels was just straight up filler, and they made you go into the sewers a second time because the game's runtime wasn't long enough.

8-10 hours for Midgar then the rest leading to Junon and ending with the fight with Sephiroth on the boat would have made more sense. Although, with the story changes who really knows what'll happen next at this point.

The Yuffie DLC is so much fun, they probably could make a whole game with her alone

My only complaint with the remake is the attitudes that the non-Cloud people have towards Sephiroth... as far as anyone else is concerned he's still a war hero

I mean, he was.

Well, at least with most of your party members it can be chalked up to them seeing him as a Shinra lapdog.
