Martinet is already confirmed to not voice Mario and friends in Wonder, but he'll probably be in the Direct to announce his retirement.

Also if the rumors are to be believed, this game is going to be more difficult than classic 8-bit Super Mario Bros. games.

It's very unlikely that they'd do that for the whole game, just for the sake of making the game more accessible, but I could believe that it'll have some side content that's harder.

IDK, after Mario Maker and Super Mario Bros. 35, people have kind of got accustomed to super hard 2D Mario levels.

Big bombs go kabang.
I just hope it isn't bland like New Super Mario Bros. was. But from what we've seen, it probably won't be.

Also I was thinking about it a while ago, so there's a shot in the first trailer with 4 Yoshis, but nobody is riding them. I wonder if instead Yoshi being a playable character that you can pick from like Mario or Peach, if it's actually a transformation. Because there's other shots where they're riding Yoshis. I just don't know what functional difference there would be between riding and being Yoshi.

Vin Diesel should voice Mario

People that specifically go looking for them, sure, but I don't see them releasing a core game that isn't designed to be enjoyable by as many people as possible. I fully expect some super-hard content in there, but the main game isn't likely to be all that difficult.

For difficulty, Super Mario World had the best way of handling it: Have a bunch of optional hard levels the players need to discover. Few things felt as cool to 12 year old me as finding the Special Zone for the first time.
