I guess I'll rewatch the series with you guys. (It will be my second time watching it.)
The first episode isn't very good imo. However, things are going to get much better in later episodes.

Its in its 5th season right now, I think Rooster Teeth have stated it will be 16 episodes
season 1 was 16
seasons 2-4 are 12 episodes each
First season had a lower budget and it shows, with shorter episodes and such.

Its in its 5th season right now, I think Rooster Teeth have stated it will be 16 episodes

Yea, but it kind of throws you straight into it all lol.
Although it is cool to see all the little details I didn't notice on my first watchthrough. (And the foreshadowing.)

Yea, after Monty died the fighting animations went downhill. They've gotten better, but they still haven't gotten to his level yet. Thankfully the other aspects of the show remain intact. Characters are likeable, the story is interesting, the music is awesome, and it still makes me laugh out loud.
Still, the fights were what pulled me in initially, so I really would like to see them pull off what Monty did on a regular basis.

Vol 4 and 5 have had alot less fights and more story i find. Though the one grimm fight close to the end of vol 4 was awesome imo
