its possible. I expect nothing, but there are things I want. I kind of hate christmas for this reason, I don't want to ask anyone for anything but if they are going to get me something either way i'd like to be able to pick what I get (I never ask for anything expensive) or just get the cash they would have spent on me.

only things i'd want this christmas (aside from clothes. I always get clothes rather I want/need it or not) is a cheap bottle of booze or a 20 dollar PSN card to buy dlcs for some video games.

I wish my family was like that. So much unnecessary stress. My family gets annoyed that I only ever ask for one, expensive, thing since that's the only thing I haven't purchased for myself yet.

I stress my mother out by never telling her what I want as I feel bad about being an adult asking for gifts. thing is she does the same exact thing to me. i'll ask her what she wants and the only answer she'll give if she gives one is to have her family around on christmas

my birthday this year I finally gave in a few weeks after my birthday and let her buy me something and I got myself a 10 dollar used game and a cheap bottle of vodka.
