Mayonnaise vs Miracle Whip

Which do you prefer?

I prefer mayo.
Both, for different things, but occasionally for the same thing.
The label on miracle whip actually has directions that state "remove lid from jar and pour contents directly into toilet"

Miracle Whip is disgusting. My mom prefers it, so growing up she always bought it because she thought she was giving us the better thing. I disagree entirely. Now that I'm an adult and I live with my wife, we run a strictly mayonnaise household.

What's the difference? Same thing to me. I don't eat either one. Also...

Why do they call Miracle Whip "salad dressing"?! I mean there's another kind of, more literal salad dressing...
"Mayonnaise" can also be freshly homemade from quality ingredients, while "Miracle Whip" only comes in a can, so "Mayonnaise" wins by default.

If it was a contest between a bucket of Hellmans and a bucket of Miracle Whip, I'm not quite sure.

I buy store brand "whipped dressing".

It's lower in fat, so I can use more of it. Mainly to keep my sandwich from being too dry. I add lots of mustard for that extra "zip".

Really, an actual can? I've not seen that, only plastic jars or the plastic squeeze bottles.

I'll use whichever is around and both are good but just different

For deviled eggs though? Gotta use miracle whip for that tangy zip

I never checked the sugar content, actually (and I usually check sugar content on most things). It's 2g sugar per tbsp for the whipped dressing, though.

Tough to avoid sugar, especially with sauces and condiments where you easily overlook it. Salad dressings and stir fry sauce can have tons of sugar.
Miracle Whip, usually.

I prefer a spicy mustard.
