I knew a couple of guys in the past that lived in their parents shed if that counts. and i've known people who lived in a broke down car. (homeless but atleast they had a roof over their head for when weather got bad)

edit: none had a kid at the time thank god.

The issue is less the mess and more the dwelling itself. No matter what, that looks like a shitty room. And, if they redeco'd it, it'd still look tiny.

As for messes, I've never been a tidy person. I've dated tidy people and, while I was with them, my place was tidy, but I'm naturally untidy and it only gets worse when I'm with an untidy partner.

maybe I got the wrong impression. I was under the impression that was pretty much his house over all. as i've heard about people renting out tiny rooms and shit in cities.

then no not everyone knows people like that. as I said closest i've seen is someone living in a shed which had a fair amount of more room than that. thats if you aren't counting the homeless dudes I knew who lived in a broke down honda civic.

well to add i've also known people who lived in tents in the woods. but that didn't last long about 3-4 months maybe. being homeless out in a heavily rural area, is much different than a urban or city environment.
