I meant from this game

Though, Pirate is my favorite class, too. I really hope they let us dual wield in the EO3 remake
That, and EO2U's Dark Hunter. I picked it as a joke because man do I love me some bondage. but goddamn does Ecstasy puts in work! quickly became my favorite skill period :P

true dat, while I love chasers like the Land-y, anything with binds is suuuuper useful for drops, bosses, any really anything

I tried playing the first Etrian Odyssey, but I do not like that kind of dungeon crawling. Did they ever change that aspect of the series, or is it still that kind of grid based exploration? I don't completely hate that kind of gameplay, so I may give it another go, but if it got changed in later entries, I wouldn't mind skipping some games tbh.

that's what they all are, and that's why we like them. If you decide to give it another chance, I would recommend one of the untold games as they streamline a lot of the map stuff, or number 3 as it has ship exploration with changes things up when you need a break from dungeon crawling

Do you mean the Untold series? There was an announcement made a while back that there would be one last EO game to come on the 3DS and it's generally believed that it's gonna be Untold 3, since it's the last game from the first 3 DS Etrian games that haven't been remade.

In any case, I'm super excited for this game.

I think my favorite from this Dragoon.

I mean, shields, heavy armor, and cannons? What's not to love?

yeah, i don't like that either.

at the very least, i'd want the battle system to be not first person, but whatever.

it's why i can't really get into any SMT game outside of persona 3 onwards. i really just don't like that stuff

If you're willing to give it another chance, there's some demos on the 3ds you could try :D

Got the game today. The art book is really nice with showing each class and their 4 design choices. Nice to think about classes before I start

Played it up to the third floor so far

party is as follows:

pugilist harbinger
dragoon warlock botanist

I don't really know if I like the party so far... but we'll see I suppose

Also why put dragoon on the back, they're much better on the front lol

Awww, it's $58 here.

I could pull an ICOYAR and use my disability money to get it, but I already spent my minimal entertainment budget on Grim Dawn. I'll have to wait a month.

ha, you must have thought I said 30th or something... I'm only on the third floor<_<

What classes do you recommend and skills? I don't know if I like mine so far... I fell really underpowered for some reason compared to all the other EO game parties I've run

Forge up the cheapest weapons with the easiest to get materials then break them down.

Haven't tried it personally since I haven't started yet, but that's what all the veterans suggest.

I didnt realize how strong forging is

It allows level 10 characters to break 500 damage (maxed thunder fist as example)

Talk about crazy
