And what is your opinion?

I think it's pretty cool so far, it basically has all the elements I would like to see in a TV show. Good music, awesome CG, easy to get into, comedy thrown in.

I missed the first part, but I've been watching the last half hour. It's actually decent so far; hope it gets enough ratings to hit a good stride.

I thought it felt inspired by galaxy quest minus the ships crew being actors that got caught up in a real sci fi experience

which to be fair galaxy quest was a movie poking fun at star trek
Cid- "looks like that overgrown lobster just got served!" Bartz-"with cheese biscuts AND mashed potatoes!"
on topic though, I thought it was allright. not really into sci-fi though so I can't say if I'll continue to watch it or not.

It really surprised me, because I didn't even know it was by Seth MacFarlane (didn't recognize his face either), the transitions from each scene feel natural/not leaving from a cliffhanger if you get what I'm trying to express, the way Family Guy has done a lot. Like it's not awkward at all. The concept is very promising, and I understand it's basically similar to a modernized Star Trek, but I kind of expected it was going to be like that. Cause really how creative can you get with the concept of space exploration and being based around a crew on a ship.

I had all the words/description for what I liked about it on the tip of my tongue earlier, but basically the show is just very smooth. I have no complaints and did not know Seth MacFarlane/whoever else was helping produce had it in them to make a show like this. Can't wait to watch more

Plus I was very pleased that it wasn't overly raunchy as most shows that come on today are, because that would have devalued it for me. Was able to enjoy it with my parents.

You mean Brannon Braga?

Ya, this was highly anticipated both because MacFarlane is a Star Trek Fan (Played an extra in Enterprise) and well Braga co-produced for Voyager and Enterprise. It could have a larger impact than Discovery does in a couple of weeks.

Overall, I only disliked one scene from this episode. Was such a blast.

FYI: Braga is credited for around 100 episodes of Star Trek, including co-writing such episodes as All Good Things... and Year of Hell.

Oh lol. Yeah, I didn't actually know anything about the show before watching it. I just looked it up and realized that it was intended to be like Star Trek, so that makes sense. I never actually did get into Star Trek, I just didn't follow it back then (was just young and preferred watching anime stuff or whatever else young people watch, I dunno, but these days I like the concept of space exploration now)

I could probably get into Star Trek now having a more open mind for things. I don't know why but I used to have an aversion to a lot of TV. I just chalk it up to being too young, ADHD and addicted to games to not be able to sit down long enough to appreciate a TV show.
