Whaddya know, even unrepentant racists can become sages. And generally you've gotten free pass after free pass for doing shit that gets other people modded. Maybe the mods have a brown bag rule where they only mod you x number of times for the same shitty offenses, though, and then they just let you do it repeatedly.
