Really? Here's how the movie business works:
-Find a mindless concept that tests well with a focus group of the typical idiot public
-Make that movie as cheaply as possible
-If movie makes money, churn out sequels until they stop making money
-Once the well is dry, repeat steps from beginning
If this is a genuine surprise, you're probably part of the problem and are still watching every transformers/fast and furious sequel that comes out.
