I really hope charmander doesn't win this whole thing and everybody is like told you so

Having said that, I really love Charmander's design. It's a lizard that becomes an unofficial dragon; Blastoise was a gigantic war tortoise with fucking cannons; Venusaur is like a plant dinosaur that wrecks shit...
I love the overall designs of Gen I versus something like Gen VII, where you have a fire WWE cat that defies the fire/fighting stereotype by becoming a DARK Nacho Libre poser capable of shooting flamethrowers from its crotch, literally weak to every other fighting Pokemon-- Wtf Gamefreak.
Last gen you thought it'd be funny to shove a flaming stick up Fennekin's butt when it evolved.

There was a guy I went to high school with that drew himself with pikachu as friends, with a raging boner, and he would dip into the very special needs dating pool (until the parents made the school stop it).
My friend went through his notebook while the teacher was yelling at him in his large-windowed office. You could see him looking and knowing he was busted while we all laughed at his Pokemon drawings. It just made the teacher madder though, because he wasn't paying attention to him.
Well, Yellow was kind of a spinoff as well. Plus Eevee is a pretty epic starter and, for a long while, it was implied that Gary started with Eevee since we never saw his squirtle before it became blastoise.
