Well, they're not entirely wrong since prominent liberals preach tolerance and acceptance over all other things, even if it means learning a hundred new pronouns.

It's not really a "common sense" thing, it's more of an ick thing. It's banned more because it grosses us out (or, at least, most people). Even if you had two sisters separated at birth who later find each other and fall in love, that would still be illegal despite there really being no good reason for it because they can't have kids and there was no inappropriate contact growing up. At that point, it's a wholly visceral reaction rather than a rational one.
