i was using google translate for some text and it kept translating as human when in context it was used to describe non-human characters. Doing a little digging Ive heard its a more broad term .

Here you have regular humans as , but the elf looking characters are called ESPers, ESP users. In the game they can use magic. So are they mutant humans? Elves? I don't think fantasy has strict rules on that stuff.
