Do you have the Pokewalker? Might sound dumb but it offers a whole extra array of cool stuff like Kasgaskhan, Doduo, Smoochum early but if not then I'd say try out
Donphan or Sudowoodo, Gyarados, one of the Hitmons or my personal favorite, Lapras :)
