I am Australian btw, i was more meaning speech and communicative rights. Compared to US and Japan, EU and the commonwealth can be a lot more strict and authoritarian compared to the former two.

Here in Australia we still ban specific games for bad reason, recently banned adult content being shipped from Japan and Im sure you know how nannying this country can be. Same with Germany and the UK.

this is just a comparison between the three. Human rights are fine here but a LOT lesser so than the US in a lot of ways.
