So naturally I started messing with the symmetry tool. Was thinking of doing some kind of sword, but the I was having a bit of trouble with making sharper corners. So I was seeing the best ways to do that, then I considered the idea of just making the whole thing a bunch of symmetrical patterns, and that's how I ended up with the thing in the middle. I tried filling it in, and then realized it reminded me of the Noise from Twewy. So I just went with that, these don't actually correspond to any designs (well, the top left was somewhat based off one), and that left me with this. Between Glinda's fondness for luxury and the general vibes of Shiz and Oz, it kinda fits the theme of ornate. But mostly I needed an excuse to show Plumpeach some love too. Cuz she's awesome too. I love the way she talks and her huge silly wig. People who love Rove but hate Plumpeach are fake-ass phonies. That monster hunter game must be something else to inspire you so much. At least the fake version is holding a book, so the statues promote literacy to my dear neighbors. This is my second Animal Crossing drawing and also the second one that's just a recreation of a meme. Weird coincidence, just like my Zelda drawings both featuring straws. The hardest part of this "drawing" was adding the text on at the end. It's like five bucks and it's the best Sonic game since Adventure 2. I tried the Riders style again. It was a real struggle figuring out line and shadow colors for Toree especially, but it turned out okay. I think a more dynamic pose would help make the shading more interesting too. Hawkee's mohawk and cape give him some more interesting shapes while Toree is just circles. I started some Toree Saturn fan art of these two months ago, but wasn't crazy about what I had and was also intimidated cuz I liked the game so much and didn't wanna make something bad lol.
