Well that's why I went with "not that bad" instead of good. It's not like it's a prescription medicine so you can just go and get some anyways if you want to.

And then the 2nd and 3rd bullet points are actually just positives I think? Though it's a little weird they're starting the confirmation trials at the same time they're allowing it under coverage (at least from what I can understand), leuvocorin is prescription only and that should at least help keep some sanity valve on its use to prevent anyone doing anything outright dangerous

So of course RFK believes it to be a blanket cure I guess?

Because to these geniuses a drug where more research is needed is better than one that has been around for 100 years and has had countless research done on it.

So they're going to divert some of the already reduced Medicaid funds to pay for leucovorin to treat autism even though they admit themselves that they haven't run confirmatory trials yet so they don't even know if leucovorin actually works.

She said if a "mitochondrial deficiency" is linked to autism, then administering leucovorin might be a way to improve symptoms. Still, past studies showed no more than 5% of autism cases are linked to mitochondrial deficiency, Willingham said.
She fears promoting leucovorin as a treatment for autism is similar to how some touted ivermectin as a COVID-19 antidote.
