It was a young, white male from Utah whose family were registered Republicans, father is a Christian faith leader and was former law enforcement and whose relatives were military. He previously dressed up as Donald Trump for Halloween and he was introduced to guns at a young age.

Not black, not female, not Muslim, not Spanish-speaking, not liberal, not trans, not minority, not immigrant, not fatherless, or anything that would indicate that he's DEI or otherwise labeled as anything that MAGA would identify as an immediate enemy.

He was a textbook of what MAGA would prop up as the ideal.

So, I ask MAGA, Fox News, conservatives, 2A warriors and all of the people who were so ready to go up in arms for the Boogeyman that you wanted Kirk's killer to be, who exactly are you at war with now?

That's not exactly clear, given there was another person with the same name who owned a home in the same city at the time. IMO more likely that it came from that person than the 17yo, but who knows.

Reminds me of a guy I employed once. Father was preacher. Had a long rap sheet and even ripped me off. Children rebel and want to be different from their parents

I mean personally I'm center my father is MAGA. We agree on some things disagree on others. We are similar in our morality. Good people if anybody asks for help we dont hesitiate. Yeah we had our problems ( not informing me of my sisters condition). I dont hate him or anything. i forgave him and love him.

I fully support young adults, well anyone really, choosing to change their views and aligning with different political stances.
What I am saying is lets not pretend we dont have young Leftists in traditionally conservative states, especially when thats exactly what Kirk himself would have pointed out. It was one of his talking points about college being a scam.

Family does shape but not determine. In this case the shooter is likely conservative due to their groyper messaging.
