Oh god this show needed an episode SO BADLY! Fucking amazing.

Darling S2 is a Top 5 for the year for sure. Really just a spectacular project.

I wasn't feeling a lot of episodes for a while. The crossdresser guy and sword girl were fun, but I felt the show was spinning its wheels until this recent ep. It finally had the energy of the early wacky laugh out loud stuff that got me hooked.

Bleach has a lot of filler, but some fans like it so idk if I'd automatically tell you to skip it. Maybe the worst thing is certain filler characters show up in the canonical stuff for no reason and you might be a bit confused if you skip it.

And then The Thousand-Year Blood War comes in and they dont show up at all. lmao

finally got around to watching last Dandadan episode, so good, whole season and series, looked forward to watching it every week and would rewatch the episode most of the time. Hell the one with the final Evil Eye fight i probably rewatched like 5 times.

We were blessed with the short turnaround time between seasons, I fear how long it'll be before S3...

Oh thank God, they're doing Watanare Volume 4 as a bonus 5 episodes airing on TV and also bundled together as a movie. Best way to handle this and I'm glad it will be adapt what it needs to.

I think that refers to later filler arcs and some of the movies. I don't think the Bount Arc was ever particularly well liked. The filler characters introduced by the Bount Arc that show up again later don't do anything too important so just knowing they exist is probably all one really needs to know about them.

Great timing for me, finished Part 6 just a few months ago.

I think part 5 might be my overall favorite, even though its final battle was the weakest. Jolyne is my favorite protagonist though.

They could fit part 7 into 48-52 episodes. Go at a much faster pace than they did Part 3

I don't THINK they need that. You really can't compare the page to episode count of previous JoJo's to SBR, because with the monthly format Araki started doing much more lavish artistic spreads and stretched reaction shots to take advantage (to great effect). There are chapters of Steel Ball Run where you could cover 10 pages of manga in under 1 minute of anime.

But only time will tell!

48-52 episodes is already tight under normal circumstances

Stone Ocean was 17 volumes in 36 episodes. SBR is 24 volumes, so 50ish eps sounds right.

Beated a few shows:

Dandadan S2 was generally excellent. Animation was absolutely incredible, with some super creative fights. Loved Evil Eye and the music room. Jiji got spectacular development this season, and I actually like him a good amount now. Wish Aira would stop squabbling with Momo though, I don't enjoy that. Looking forward to S3 eventually.

My Dress Up Darling S2 was basically more of the same from S1. Excellent animation, good development between the main two, and a good side cast. This season didn't do quite as much for me, maybe since it focused more on the romance but didn't actually do anything with it, maybe because I don't like any of the other side cast members quite as much as I like Juju.

Call of the Night S2 was fantastic. The story focus worked out great, and the direction is still awesome. Nazuna's such a fun character, and the other vampires are good too. They tried a little too hard to make Anko sympathetic I think. She's really just a racist mass murderer...

Bad Girl wasn't that good, but I liked it anyway? Yuu is cute, Suzu is amazing, and the rest of the cast isn't so great, but they work. Having a bit of yuri was a big plus. I think the show would've been better if everyone were less obsessed with Atori, since that was generally the weakest part. Would love to see more.

With You and the Rain was very good, and a unique type of slice anime, since it was about an adult woman and her pet. Just about every skit was quality. Even though they aren't the focus, the side characters are all very good, and I would've loved to see more of them. It didn't quite click with me and make me love it, but everything about this show was so good that I couldn't help liking it anyway.

I would say 5-3-5 in that order, but given I don't watch most of the popular shounen nowadays that's probably out of whack. A few I didn't recognize at all that could be from, like, Boruto or newer One Piece or something.

It's not done but just gotta say that Rascal this season has really been a slog. I'd had watching movies on the backburner for years and this season finally gave the excuse to catch up, and I was excited, but it's all been "fine". The first season wasn't just fine, from what I remember. Just not landing for me at all at this point. Probably going to have to force my way through the finale (was already considering skimming through episode 12's progression bar as I was watching it).

Call of the Night, truly stupendous. Skipping out in S1 when it aired was a big mistake (I went on vacation the first two weeks of the season and that really just disrupted almost every show's chances). This is absolutely a modern classic.

With You and the Rain, mixed feelings. Show was very good at what it wanted to be, but as I said back when it started what it is just isn't a show I watched anymore. Keeping my attention until the end despite that is a feat, and it was always enjoyable, but just still not my kind of show.

I do get some of the backlash to the lacing of Dress up Darling this season. Didn't even realize it much as over after watching the last ep! Despite that, I was always loving what was happening and how it was presented, so I didn't mind that much. First half of the season was definitely better paced.

Torn between (spoilers for #2 don't read if you don't already know the answer) the show straight up saying the title in the clip, and people who have no idea just not making that connection.

Watanare....when this was just a dumpster fire early on I was more engaged, unfortunately as it progressed it just got more and more boring. I've got no investment in this one at all. If the next volume of content getting made into a movie is as batshit insane as people are hyping it up to be, I'll check it out, but yeah right now this is doing nothing for me.

I got 3 on first listen, having to do a bit of a deeper dive now to see if I can pick up more

This is sort of my feeling as well although I'm a bit more positive on the show than you. I recall liking season 1 a fair bit and was a lot more invested in each arc's girl. Maybe I should do a season 1 rewatch to see if it still holds up.

If you mean the doll he is laying on that is Shirahoshi. The dolls seem relative to the people's size. Jimbei is also napping on some Giant dolls

My eyes went to the battle over the chopper plush while the real chopper is trapped.

I do feel like Franky should be the claw rather than Brooke
