Eh, seemed kinda silly how Wendy was imitating the noises she heard from the Xenomorph's. But otherwise, was an ok episode.

Boy is back to being annoying. I get the feeling he's going to feed Arthur to the Ocellus to try and talk with it in English.

Maybe giving already vulnerable children super bodies and then traumatizing them isn't a good idea after all.

This episode felt really disturbing in all the right ways, wow. From Nibs insisting she's pregnant, to Morrow threatening Slightly's family and wanting him to facehug someone, to the chestburster being born out of the lung and worst of all the eye alien and the sheep.

Next episode is titled "In space, no one can hear you..." so I'm anticipating a breakout event.

the sheep scene (as well as the one with Nibs) was super creepy.

with how it became more intelligent and observant, just looking at everyone.

I wonder how intelligent that alien is. it reminds me of the slug aliens from Animorphs.

also, Morrow is a pretty good villain.

Morrow and Boy Cavalier are both grooming those kids, in different but equally insidious ways.

I don't know if there will be a happy ending for anybody, that's not how this franchise does it.

Agreed. This one was clearly a table setting episode, but table setting done well. Just setting everyone up to spiral to destruction in traditional Alien fashion.

I fully expect most of the characters to die mainly because the whole xenomorph thing has to be kept on the down-low for it to make sense in the timeline. Also because it's the Alien series obviously. Weyland-Yutani is not getting those specimens back at least. I just wonder what role the eye monster is going to play because they're giving it equal importance to the xenomorph so far.

Also, looks like Kirsh is going down the David route.

I'm guessing next episode is going to explain what exactly happened on the Maginot.

So the crazy train has left the station for Nibs, huh?

She's been on the crazy train the entire time.

I noticed some interesting acting on Morrow's character-

When he questions Slightly about his name, who divulges to him that his name, Singh, is from India, Morrow's expression is that he's pretty fucking chuffed to hear that. I would guess that Morrow already traveled to India on a hunch and Singh just confirmed it, which means that by the time he needs to contact Slightly again and blackmail him, he's already got a headstart at securing his leverage.

People forget that the Prometheus was launched to discuss immortality with the engineers, not discover xenomorphs. The fact that the Maginot launched before it is totally fine; they were on an abduction/zoological run to far away moons. The upper, upper crust of Weyland cared about the even bigger secret, the Engineers. Still not quite sure how people say this kills the timeline.

Anyway episode 4 was a step in the right direction. The eyeball monster standing on two legs for awhile, before stepping down, was terrifying. Means it's used to taking over a human host when seeing them all around it, the little thing is probably going to wreck shit in the next episode which is the flashback to the sabotage.

Boy Kavalier letting the creature recognize him is just the latest instance of him showing what a fool he is while fancying himself a genius.

I was thinking, since Kirsch has been listening in on Morrow and Slightly's conversations, and now he knows Morrow wants someone to be facehugged...

Kirsch does in fact have an egg and facehugger without a xenomorph embryo(assuming the facehugger was just stunned). Anyone think he'll allow someone to be attacked by a harmless one and track Morrow down that way?

If not, it's not looking good for Arthur.

Eh, I'm probably wrong. He did cut the facehugger after all, and they die after implanting the embryo. So it's probably dead.

It just seemed odd how he went to examine the eggs, and seemed to be thinking about something. But he doesn't need to be involved at all if he wants to allow someone to be implanted. So it made me think that he coming up with a plan to catch Morrow which involves the eggs. So had to wonder if there was anything he could do to them, and realized he already sterilized one and if the facehugger lived it could harmlessly attach to someone and be delivered to Morrow safely.

I'm probably just reaching really hard as I don't want Arthur to die. He's the only sensible one on the island and I want him to see Boy's downfall.

The thing with Arthur is that he really seems very reluctant about about what they're even doing in the first place, regarding the kids and whether or not they actually transfered a conscious mind over to a new body or killed them and a bunch of blank robots have simply inherited memories and personalities that don't belong to them.

I don't it's a coincidence that in this episode they showed how Joe effectively gets held over a barrel to accept a new place within the company. With the stranglehold The 5 have on how the world is ran, there's probably a lot more people working jobs and contracts they don't want to do but are similarly held over a barrel. Arthur may be im a similar predicament.
