We had Prop 187 back in the 90s, which mirrored these horrific actions. It was so bad, it flipped California from a Republican stronghold to a blue state. We know from experience that these ICE shenanigans do not work.

There's only one reason an ICE agent should even be allowed in a hospital, and even then I'm not sure they'd deserve it.

If you took the Hippocratic Oath, you intend to help all patients to the best of your ability. Should that include the modern gestapo though?

Ethically, it would. Since the Oath doesn't have a "Unless they're an asshole" clause.

Morally? Well they're Nazis, so absolutely not. Especially since their very existence threatens your other patients.

In that scenario, do you show them mercy? Or do you show them what they deserve?

It's not mercy, it's what doctors are suppose to do, they have a moral and ethnical obligation to help everyone regardless of how evil they are.

While it is objectively true the world would be a better place if these evil MFers died horrible and painful deaths, that not a doctors call.

If an ICE Agent has to go to the doctor because they sprained their hand from all the immigrants they punched in the face,

the doctor who fixes their hand isn't the problem, that we allow ICE to punch innocent people in the face is the problem

I suggested in the previous topic that she should save the videos somehow and upload them on streamable (that delete videos after a few days) or catbox (which doesn't but you can manually remove them if you want), both are anonymous.

Okay that is not a moral dilemma. Doctors do not take an oath to be "the most moral." They take an oath to "do no harm"

In the scenario above they would treat the Nazi, it's not even up for debate..

Every patient is entitled to a doctor who is going to do everything in their power to help them (and not punch them).

If you want an ACTUAL moral dilemma/thought experiment:
You are a doctor, You have two patients, one is a Nazi, the other is a non-violent illegal immigrant, both need a heart transplant, and you only have ONE heart. Let's say the Nazi showed up first, and is more likely to die if he doesn't get a heart right away, the immigrant might be able to live a few more months without a new heart.

Who gets the new heart?

I think most of use would give it to the immigrant (Nazis got no hearts anyway).

But I think for Doctors this would be a tougher call, on paper I think it is suppose to go to the Nazi, but just because the immigrant could live longer without a heart, it doesn't mean he will get one in time.

I think that would be a more difficult choice for doctors to make, and harder for them to put aside their own feelings and views about Nazis.

I work in an ER and Ive had full blown Nazis as patients. Like swastika tattoos and everything. You still have to treat them, no matter how much you wanna punch them in the face. If its any solace, whenever we get an idiot like that the entire staff shit talks them, and while the docs and nurse treat them they arent very friendly about it

I honestly agree a doctor should not be allowed to pick and choose who they treat. Just the same as Nazis get a right to counsel, they should have a right to medical treatment

Ehh theres no law that says you have to be friendly with patients all the time. My hospital has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to hostility or violence toward staff. If a patient is being an asshole we do have the right to stand up for ourselves. One could argue that proudly displaying Nazi imagery could be interpreted as open hostility. No, you dont have to sit there and let the Nazi punk talk shit to you just because hes a patient.

We had a Nazi asshole just last week. Guy was standing in the door of his room butt ass naked for everyone to see. Let me tell ya, that did not go over well for him.

One of the nurses was telling me that whenever one of these guys shows up she tries to take them as a patient so that any minority nurses (which we have plenty of) can be safe. I respect that
