There was a website during the height of the Pokemon craze around 1999 called mustbedestroyed.com that I found out about in GamePro magazine that had videos of someone burning, maiming, and generally destroying Pokemon plushies. One of them featured Santa Clause, who had been driven insane by kids asking for Pikachu.

No but the animation was just mouths moving on slowly moving images. There's modernized versions on youtube but I'll pm you the archive link to the original. I don't think the downloads work but you can still watch it.

Wow, I haven't thought about that video in a very long time. It was definitely between 2000-2002. I remember my brother showing it to me on New Grounds.

It was probably the very first time I ever used the internet. Which was sometime around 1998, I went to a library to check out a website titled "Stick Figure Death Theater", which had funny stick figures killing each other. The website was shown in some gaming magazine. Gamepro or EGM and I wanted to see how the internet works, so that was where I went. It was good. I laughed.

It wasn't any one specific thing but just a site that made me laugh at various things. I was in the military from 1994 to 1999 so I didn't get Internet until I came home in 1999. A friend turned me onto Ernie's House of Whoop Ass and I found some amusing stuff there.

I was in my almost mid 20's and it was my first real journey into the Internet. The modern Internet as we know it really didn't truly take root until 1995 and with me being in the Navy and out in the middle of the ocean most of the time it wasn't something I concerned myself with. I grew up completely without it and there wasn't a single person I knew with it when I graduated in 1994. That was completely different when I came home in 1999.
