Anyone else thinking of jumping into this? Global release is in a couple days and I've heard mostly pretty good things about it. Gatcha system is very reasonable and the game is easily F2P. Heard the story is great too.

I think I'll make this my yearly gatcha.

And we can all exchange FRIEND CODES and all that super cool stuff :)

Plus, I really like the owl character, Lufel :)

I love Persona 5 so I'll give it a shot!

Some of the characters seem really cool so maybe I'll give it a try at least.

I've been doing poorly on my gacha game upkeep though.

Part of me was considering it, but Im already playing 3 Hoyoverse games and dunno if I feel like adding another gacha

I'm excited to see if Koromaru eventually gets added in. They added all the Phantom Thieves from P5 and are just now adding in some P3 characters. It'll take ages for all of them to hit Global, but if they add the good boy, I'll be so happy <3

I've sworn to myself to never again touch a Gacha that is not aligned globally with content. If this had launched everywhere at the same time I probably would have tried it.

I actually prefer being out of sync as long as the updates are consistent because you know what's coming and you can save currency.

That's definitely the upside yeah. I can save all my GEMS for Koromaru, hopefully.

If this something where I'll need to have played the other Persona 5 spinoffs to keep up? I don't even know where that story is at now.

It's gonna be tough juggling this with Uma Musume since they both launch on the same day, but I plan on playing it.

I highly doubt it other than maybe some collab events. The fact that it launched in Chinese regions and Korea first should imply that you shouldn't even need any prior knowledge of P5.

Yeah, just couldn't keep with it. The actual endgame just isn't fun, either, there's no reason to actually engage with it as a game that I could justify. Will definitely go back to watch all the story stuff I can later, though.

This looks very cool but yeah just ZZZ by itself is already plenty for me on the gacha front, plus after FGO I will never, ever play another gacha where the global version is behind. Just abject misery to constantly read about all this exciting stuff that you won't see for so long that you'll probably forget it was even a thing. (Granted, this game shouldn't be as bad on that front.)

I don't have extensive experience with Gacha games but I'll give this a whirl.

I get the idea of wanting to know what's coming far ahead of time, but if you actually end up caring about the story and characters in the Gacha then being years behind the source country is going to be nothing but suffering.

You're basically forcing yourself to completely ignore the game's entire community to avoid being spoiled.

okay FGO is just a monster in and of itself. the only gacha game that can get away with its bullshit.

my main ones are Arknights and Nikke, the former just straight up is a fantastic game and the gacha mechanics aren't extreme, it's just a regular game for me there. Nikke i drop every so often because sometimes the gacha stuff is overwhelming. technically i did play through GFL2 for a while but dropped it along the way, same issue.

FGO i dropped a while ago because i cannot understand how it's still successful when it's so slow and the extreme amount it was behind is only really relevant to stupid mechanical changes that it should've had to begin with.

this one seems interesting so i'll give it a shot. maybe it'll be as relevant as the SMT gacha, played that for a couple months before dropping it completely.

I'll try it out and then probably get annoyed by the F2P mechanics within a month.

How much storage space does a game like this usually take up? I don't have the largest capacity phone and I don't own a tablet.

Yeah, pretty much. There's obviously some differences, like speed up and auto that all gatchas have, but a lot of it is VERY similar.

It seems so because of all the runs and random events that happen, but people are saying that it's more pure RNG than a traditional roguelike.

Pretty rotten luck with my pulls so far. Out of the 90 I've done, I've gotten 1 5 star, and every other one was just a single 4 star.

You can't spell gatcha without Ermineluck.

At least it doesn't have any effect on clearing content at all, but still sad for me.

I think gachas are inherently bad game design so I'm gonna pass on this even though I love Persona.

I say this as someone who beat the first two chapters of Genshin Impact.

Are the races just auto or manual then? Trying to understand what part of the game is actually a game

Loving the game so far. Pleasantly surprised by the quality for sure. Only like 4 hours in though.

Overall its been a lot of fun yeah. Crazy quality for a free game! (If you have self control)
