yea, it's a lot of fun, to the point i subscribe now. i legit think it is the best Fallout from an exploration standpoint

Yes I really do.
I think it is better than Fallout 4. I was a hater originally, watching all the drama unfold between the bad game design decisions, glitchy gameplay and promo items all failing.

But I picked it up after they overhauled a lot of the systems and added NPCs and actually it's a really solid experience. I love the exploration and questing. And I'm not a big fan of survival games but I do like collecting the occasional resources and then adding to my CAMP a little bit after I finish my play session and go to wind down for the day.

Also if you haven't played it, they got rid a lot of the negatives of survival games. Like you don't take penalties for ignoring your thirst and hunger at all. You get bonuses if you DO stay hydrated and full but you can ignore it if you want

unironically, dropping the pretense makes 76 so much easier to enjoy

Yeah I also felt like Fallout 4 was a second job more than a fun escape. The pace of the writing was bad. Stealth was broken for me in a bad way (enemies instantly locked on to my position no matter where I was). So many redundant encounters when clearing dungeons for little reward.

Got it at launch and hated it... Picked it up again right after the Fallout show came out and loved it so much it's a daily game for me... I like it a ton more than FO4...

It's a lot of fun these days, I played it last year. Haven't done the newest map update stuff though. I think it gets too much hate now, the map alone is a ton of fun to explore and it's gorgeous.

There's a main story path but the beginning is so scuffed it can be hard to follow if you wanted to do everything in proper order.

After years of updates and hearing its actually good now I tried it. Its not for me and never was going to be.

First bump

I got into it between April and June of 2020. I remember the updates it was between. So I missed some of the newer stuff they added since then. I had fun with it, but I was playing with 2 buddies, sometimes on the private server their subscription service offered. The end game was pretty boring and that's why I stopped playing.

Yeah with friends it's just Fallout 4 in coop. Fun times.
