I hope the show allows some of the other factions the game introduced to be fleshed out. Like have Joel somehow survived getting beaten to pulp by Abby with a golf club, and she also kills Ellie in front of him when Ellie breaks free from being held down by a guy and tries to save Joel. Abby and her crew leaves assuming they'd killef Joel. Not having time to check for a pulse as the hear zombies nearby break into the house they're in and they leave. I am hoping that they have abby be a refugee - a chekhov's gun sort of deal where she infiltrated the joint, and even befriends ellie, so things will hit harder when she kills joel, and he won't look that dumb. I always wanted that if i could re write the story. ~~Wonder if they setting the balcony scene up as her coming back to have the talk with him in a last flash back? Looks like they want a narrative easier to follow than the game.~~ ~~Having joel going to therapy because of teenage angst is a nice touch...Even with him knowing it's his fault. I preferred how the game ~~introduced Abby since it added some mystery around her character, but I understand why they had us know her background early on, so I don't fault them too much for this.~~ but as far as Joel killing Eugene, I didn't like that change - maybe it was so he'd be more open to telling the therapist about what he did to the Fireflies later on after she revealed how she felt, but unless if they do something meaningful with this, I think it was better for him just to tell Tommy like he did originally. --- "I could never encapsulate all my cosmicality on my own." - mr.
