Only thing I really prefer in the dub was them saying digivolution instead of evolution.

everything is is just vastly better in the sub wow.

i remember season 3 being well written so i am psyched to go to the sub of season 2 and hopefully they release 3 and 4 (tamers and frontier on blu ray)

Yuyu hakusho and bunch of 90s anime has vert good dub pororin. Then more anime gave us screeching high pitch girl voice.

to be fair the japanese dub version isn't really that much better. nopons speak weird to begin with AND tora's whole family are mecha+moe otaku

it's definitely more dissonant, but cringe is still the point

you say that until you become fluent in Japanese and see the flaws in some Japanese voice acting.

I like to play the dub but with the sub of the Japanese dialogue so it doesnt match up to what theyre saying g

The main advantage subs have for me is that it's easier to gloss over cringey dialogue if I'm reading it than if I'm hearing it. That's not really subs being "better" so much as it is subs helping me overlook unpleasant stuff.

These days I prefer subs just because it's a more accurate translation. I reject the argument that the voice acting is better in the original.

if you understood Japanese you would see that Japanese to English doesn't always work too well and if you watch an episode subbed and dubbed there's not much difference :D :D: :D
