Any fun stories?

I used to go to a gay club with coworkers for drag revues. There was also a goth club in town that used to do freak shows which I found neat. Talking like a guy puts hooks in his body and lifts himself up and moves around kind of stuff.

Ive been to a dance club twice. First time i showed up at 8 solo because I didnt know anything about clubs and left because there was no one there that early. Second time I went with a platonic friend and was thiiiiis close to getting jumped.

I spent half of my mid twenties in a grungy club/drug den every Friday night and it was amazing. Heavy EDM and dubstep beats until 4-5 in the morning, or whenever I came down off of whatever. It was literally an underground club though, and got washed out in a hurricane and they never reopened, sadly. RIP Kryptonite.

Also, been to many other clubs that mainly featured EDM, always had a good time. Gay clubs are also usually better in atmosphere, drinks, cleanliness and music than straight clubs.

Never cared to and entirely too old now.

Id go again if my friends wanted to, because theyre fun and Id have fun with them. But were not that kind of group. Plus were aging out of that scene anyway lol

Used to go all the time back in the 2000s. I'm a bit too old to go now though. It was never a "going to try and hook up" thing, as much as it was going with a bunch of friends, hanging out, getting drunk, dancing and singing along with the music, and generally just having a ton of fun. Went to a ton of different clubs in NYC, as well as a few elsewhere.

I've got lots of different stories, but you can't hear any of them.



...I did see The Strokes at a club during a New Years Eve party before anyone knew who they were though. My one friend worked for an indie label and was trying to sign them. He did not succeed.

That's the one story you can have.

If you count the clubs in what used to be Pleasure Island in Disney World, then yes. They were fun, would go again if they still existed.

Many times. Clubbing was never really my preferred way to drink, but in the early stages of my adulthood, it was the main way to do it into the early hours. They were also good places to get casual sexual partners when Ive been single.

Not sure Ill ever find myself in one again though. Im pushing 40.

Went a lot in my late teens and early 20s and always fucking hated it but I liked having sex so until I had a proper relationship I kept going somewhat regularly. I don't have any legendary stories or anything but there was often dumb stuff like people throwing up on themselves/others or fights or whatever.

Clubs are terrible places. Even people that have fun there would probably be able to have just as much or more fun somewhere else. I will never understand people that genuinely enjoy them that aren't attractive women that like people buying drinks for them.

I've gone to some as school activities, but I'm not interested in going to more.

Europe ones can be way fun, similar to Vegas scene, but more for the common man.i actually wound up going to Kit Kat last year while in Berlin without knowing really what it was. Aka, likely the world's most famous (notorious?) Sex club.

The most fun I ever had in a club was in the Culture Club in NYC. Just fantastic nostalgia and tons of people who were just out to have a good time, which just made for a way better vibe than the clubs where everyone was too cool for the room, or everyone was just out trying to get laid.

Shame it's gone now. And that none of the handful of imitators it spawned ever really seemed to catch on.

Of course, it's not like I'd be going there at this point anyway. Nostalgia can make for a great club experience, but eventually your body just gets too broken down for it, so there's always going to be an upper window on how long you can exploit that dance music era for (ie, most people who were teens in the 80s are in their 50s now). Clubs like Culture Club or Poly Ester's (with a 70s theme) can only last for so long before customers stop coming.

Went to two in Las Vegas. All the stimuli just wasn't for me....

Couple times, including a gay bar that my brother's wife and her friends like to go to. None of it was my thing.

Pretty much spot on. Some will have areas a bit far from the music that are quieter, but they are basically really fucking loud, cramped, and messy.

Went to one in Vegas once, got a table, Aoki was DJing, drank a bunch of vodka.

Fun fact: I worked as the assistant to Dog the Bounty Hunter briefly. We were filming in Vegas and his son, Leland, took a bunch of.out to the...Oak Club? Oak Tree? Some club inside the Mirage.

$600 for the booth with bottle service. 2013 prices. I remember my Captain and Coke costing $24.50 and it was watered down. Vegas drinking prices outside of Fat Tuesdays and the like are insane.

No, and no interest. Loud as hell, too many people in one room all bumping into each other.

Multiple times and would maybe go again. I don't like the loud music and feel I'm the parent at a kids birthday party these days though.
