I live 30 minutes from Madison, this school is in our conference.

Pretty shocking. Hopefully no fatal injuries.

Why does it seem like this has been happening in Wisconsin more than any other state recently? Wisconsin isn't even that big.

i live right by East high school so when i saw East side school my heart skipped a near. My sister in law attends east high

some friends have kids that are at nearby schools that are now on lockdown but nobody that attends this school

Im seeing 2, possibly 3 dead with more than a dozen injured? Horrible

disgusting that one ceo gets shot and the governement takes immediate action to protect CEOs, yet school shootings happen on a regular basis in this country and its crickets

Damn, 4 dead and 5 injured, not counting the shooter, who's also dead. That's tragic. My condolences to the families. These always hit close to home because I have a kid in elementary school.

But the kids aren't wealthy CEOs, so who gives a fuck about preventing schools from getting shot up yet again? Certainly not the US government.

I hate that the same people who preached about needing God in the classroom as a way to prevent school shootings will be the same ones to shame those pointing out the obvious in this case as politicizing the issue.

Newxmax's coverage of the shooting in Tennessee a few years ago was the most disgusting thing I'd ever seen. Among other vile things, they called it a coordinated genocide against Christians and claimed more people had been killed in mass shootings perpetrated by transgender people than white supremacists.

WI has a Democrat governor but a very conservative (and gerrymandered) legislature. Gov. Evers is also a former teacher, so he would absolutely sign any gun control initiative. But of course the state reps won't pass such a bill.

We have a Liberal Supreme Court justice but idk how that would help.

That chance was Nov 5. So, no. Don't expect any gun regulation of any kind for the next 4 years.

While the shooter's name and age have been leaked, it may not have been verified just yet.

I saw a post on the Madison Reddit that said secondhand report from an ER nurse that at least one of the transported victims has died as well. Dont know if that would add to the count or if thats part of the confusion with the reporting of 3 vs 5 dead

Only first world country that has this problem, but nothing we can do about it.

And reminder this country voted the person in that told people to "Get Over It" after a shooting.
