Hell if I were Biden right now Id order the FBI to complete background checks on every nominee as well as every person involved in their transition.

Then include every member of the current House and Senate Intelligience committees on the results.

If theyre going to break from the laws governing presidential succession then there should be a corresponding change in how we manage the process.

You can shut the fuck up. Hunter wouldn't have even been hit with that bullshit gun charge, but for the fact of who his father is.

Just to add to the people saying "Trump doesn't need an excuse", "He's already done it and no one cares", etc.

If Joe Biden didn't do this, Trump could have still gone to rallies for the next four years saying "And Crooked Joe pardoned his own son" and people would believe it anyway.

Legally and Constitutionally speaking, Biden is 100% in the clear. And this is a drop in the bucket compared to the garbage pardoned under Trump.

Trump pardoning Roger Stone is 1,000 times more egregious and wouldn't be any more noteworthy even if Stone was Trumps brother or son.

He also pardoned piece of shit Joe Arpaio, Paul Manafort who commited Tax and Bank fraud, and Kwame Kilpatrick the Detroit mayor who was stealing state funds to buy shit for himself. He pardoned a LOT of people tied to his campaign and a lot of others that weren't he pardoned even though they were committing some kind of fraud or tax evasion. Seems like the corporate mob boss President pardoning money crooks to gain favor.

After all, the most famous pardon of all (Nixon's pardon by Ford) has neither of these features -- Nixon was never convicted of anything, and he sure as hell never admitted any guilt.

I will say this: in a vacuum I'm against a president pardoning the crimes of their children. It does reek of corruption. But we don't live in a vacuum, we live in a political reality where this absolutely does not make it on my radar of things I give a fuck about.
