Context:
Sienna Mae was filmed sexual assaulting her male friend while he was completely unconscious. She made an apology video that said stuff like "being off social media for a month was one of the most difficult things I've ever done" and then dances to a song that has lyrics like "I'll kiss a hundred boys" and "I did nothing wrong, I'm young." >_>

Miranda Sings was accused of sending risque stuff to a 13yo boy as well as asking him very sexual questions. Her video was her singing on a ukulele (because she said her lawyers advised her not to talk about it, but didn't advise her not to SING about it......), and then doesn't even answer or refute any accusations in the video.

Never heard of either and Im not watching either video but thank you for the added context. They both sound like pieces of shit. Both situations are bad but the one who physically assaulted the guy sounds worse and then follows it up with the most out of touch take that the hardest thing was being offline. Like wtf. But the other girl was messing with a minor and so yeah both are real garbage.

The Miranda video is kinda long, but Sienna's is a pretty short watch. At least look at that one >_> It's......something to behold. It is completely tone deaf. Like she has a PR team and not one of them thought to stop this and say it was a bad idea.

The first one I think is just a stupid decision from a young person who has spent entirely too much time in the influencer sphere that she has no idea how to have any sort of sincere emotion that isn't overly produced schlock courting views.

The second one is a grown woman who had legal counsel to shut the fuck and she still decided to put out that corny song.

The whole thing is just a cycle of self-perpetuating, self-serving, content creation, of no real value.

Stupid decision or not, she was 18 at the time. So still an adult. And instead of owning up to it and apologizing she denied that she assaulted him because All Jack and I ever did was kiss. I have never seen, felt or touched him naked.

It's so unbelievably tone deaf to go "I didn't sexually assault him because we only kissed" and then to make an apology video dancing to lyrics like "I did nothing wrong, I'm young."

She did more than just kiss him too. She was straddling him and apparently touching his crotch too while he was knocked out drunk

Was gonna point out that Miranda's isn't actually an apology, but I went back and it turns out Sienna Mae's video also contained "I'm young, I did nothing wrong" in the lyrics lol.

IDK, for me the difference is that I can understand Miranda's as a human action. The way she "apologized" is something that a TV writer could conceive of and put to paper, and I think she ripped off "they didn't say I couldn't sing" from a Disney sitcom.

Sienna Mae's dance apology is from the moon. I literally cannot imagine the sequence of thoughts that led to the production of that video. So hers is worse for me.

Sienna Mae has a PR team too. Someone thought of that, someone filmed that, someone edited that, someone reviewed that, someone posted that. You'd think one of those people would watch that and say "Maybe this isnt a good idea"
